Board report Your security posture at a glance.

The board report sums up your security posture in compact form: a score from 0 to 100, what needs doing now, which deadlines are overdue and how far each framework has been implemented.

What it is about

Under section 38(1) of the German BSI Act (BSIG), management of essential and important entities must implement the risk management measures and oversee their implementation. For that it needs a clear overview rather than a long report. The board report provides it, at the push of a button and always up to date.

What you need it for

  • Inform the board, managing directors or supervisory board
  • Evidence oversight under section 38 BSIG
  • Prepare decisions on budget and priorities
  • Refresh the status before meetings in minutes

Frequently asked questions

Who is the board report for?

For managing directors, the board and the supervisory board. In compact form it shows where the organisation stands and what needs deciding.

How often should it be created?

As often as you need it. It is created at the push of a button from the current status, for example before every management meeting.

Which format does the board report come in?

PDF, with your company name and logo.

How is the score from 0 to 100 calculated?

Implemented requirements count in full and partly implemented ones count half, measured against all applicable requirements. Unlike the gap analysis report, documented implementation also counts here, as on the dashboard.

What does the traffic light mean?

From 80 it shows green (“on track”), from 50 amber (“making progress”), below that red (“needs attention”).
